ORIGIN STORY
While training and playing professionally in Brazil, Elliot came across a small rubber ball used for technical training. During pre-season, for two weeks, Elliot’s professional Brazilian futbol team (Associação Atlética Aparecidense) ran fitness drills and trained exclusively with the small weighted rubber ball. They did not touch a soccer ball for two weeks! These are the most skilled players in the world and they were doing nothing more than riobol touch drills. By the end of those two weeks every player had developed instinctive ball control. “When we finally starting playing again, it felt like I was kicking a beach ball. I had never had better ball control.” When Elliot returned home we knew we needed to bring this Brazilian technical training innovation back home. That’s when RIOBOL was born!

Elliot Fauske and Matthew Folsom are life-long soccer players, coaches and fans of the game. We believe that there are no shortcuts on the road to greatness. You are going to get out what you put in. Our goal is to help soccer players everywhere gain the technical confidence to solve problems and create beauty on the pitch. Training with riobol is fun, but it is also effective and efficient in developing technical ball control. The ability to control the ball is the necessary foundation to play the beautiful game.
